Known Issues
On some occasions, Smart Menorah may crash if your device uses 24-hour time, instead of 12-hour time. You can check the status of your device by opening Settings -> General -> Date & Time, and noting whether 24-Hour time is turned on.

Resolution: As a temporary resolution, turn of 24-hour time in Settings -> General -> Date & Time.
After doing so, please delete Smart Menorah from your device, then re-download it from the App Store (you will not be charged again).
Smart Menorah should now launch properly.

Additional Note: This issue should be resolved in version 2.0 of Smart Menorah. Please make sure your app is up to date by visiting the App Store on your device and choosing the Updates tab.
In some cases, it may be time to light the candles, but swiping across the screen does not produce any activity.

Resolution: Ensure you are swiping up, from bottom to top, on your device's display. A good test is to swipe in the center of the Menorah, from the bottom of the Menorah up to the Shamash candle. This should light the Menorah, as long as it is after sundown on a night of Chanukah.
In some cases, especially on Apple TV, the countdown may show there is negative time remaining until sundown.

Resolution: As a temporary solution, force-quit the application and re-open from the home screen.

On Apple TV, press the Home button twice on your Siri Remote. Swipe through the open Applications until you reach Smart Menorah, then swipe up to quit the application. Press the home button to return to the home screen, then re-open Smart Menorah.

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, double-press the home button, then swipe through the open Applications until you reach Smart Menorah. Swipe up to quit the application, then press the home button to return to the home screen. Re-open Smart Menorah.

Smart Menorah should now properly display the proper amount of time, if any remains, until Chanukah.

Additional Note: This issue should be resolved in version 2.0 of Smart Menorah. Please make sure your app is up to date by visiting the App Store on your device and choosing the Updates tab.
On some occasions, Smart Menorah may send you an alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch that it is time to light the Menorah, but when the app is opened, the countdown says there is still some time remaining.

Resolution: Delete Smart Menorah from your device and re-install the app from the App Store, and choose deny when asked to use your location. This issue occurs because Smart Menorah is constantly checking for the most accurate sundown times in your area, but the notifications are only configured the first time Smart Menorah is launched. Denying access to your location will prevent Smart Menorah from checking your location and adjusting sundown times.

Additional Note: This issue should be resolved in version 2.0 of Smart Menorah. Please make sure your app is up to date by visiting the App Store on your device and choosing the Updates tab.
